EVALUATION CRITERIAS

Here you will find explained the evaluation method that we use to differentiate the degrees of difficulty for the hiking routes.

  • Very Easy - green: suitable for families

    • ELEVATION DIFFERENCE: small <300 m
    • EXPOSURE OF PASSAGES: small, almost non-existent
    (with risk of slipping or falling from the path)
    • FREQUENCY OF EXPOSED PASSAGES: it does not exists
    (with or without cables)

  • Easy - blue: suitable for beginners

    • ELEVATION DIFFERENCE: medium 300 – 600 m
    • EXPOSURE OF PASSAGES: Small or medium. Either there are none, or there may be a few areas with short passages exposed.
    (with risk of slipping or falling from the path)
    • FREQUENCY OF EXPOSED PASSAGES: Either it doesn't exist or it's small.
    (with or without cable arrangement)

  • Moderate - red: suitable for those with some experience

    • ELEVATION DIFFERENCE: Big 600 - 900 m
    • EXPOSURE OF PASSAGES: Small or medium. There is one or more short passages.
    (with risk of slipping or falling from the path)
    • FREQUENCY OF EXPOSED PASSAGES: Small or medium.
    (with or without cables)

  • High - black: suitable for the experienced

    • ELEVATION DIFFERENCE: Very big >900 m
    • EXPOSURE OF PASSAGES (with risk of slipping or falling from the path): Big or very big.. There are many passages equipped with metal cable.
    • FREQUENCY OF EXPOSED PASSAGES: Medium or large.
    (with or without cables)

  • Alpine - !: suitable for experienced mountaineers

    Mountain route not arranged for hiking, at the lower limit of the routes for rock climbing and mountaineering.
